Astro Lab is short for Inner Planets Astrology Laboratory, a group experience that focuses on in-depth somatic and experiential exploration of the inner planets of Astrology.

What are the inner planets?
The inner planets in Astrology refers to the planets closest to the sun that travel quickly and change signs quickly leading to unique placements based on indivudual birth date and time.
These planets are: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars. In the Astro Lab we also give attention to the rising sing.

Beyond Mars, as planets get further from the sun, they are in signs longer and their placemnet becomes less personal and more social or generational. Saturn and Jupiter are referred to as “social planets” for this reason and Neptune, Uranus and Pluto are refered to as "generational. This is because most folks in your grades of school or born within the same year or two as you share your social planet placement, and most in your generation share your generational planet placement. The placement of these outer social and generataional planets still affect us deeply, but the energy of the planet in the sing is less personal. In the Astro Lab we focus on the inner, most personal planets in our appraoch to deepening self knowledge and compassion.

At each gathering we will integrate our personal embodiment and experience with each planet through sharing, reflection, ritual and ceremony. This “laboratory” environment validates personal and somatic epxerience and offers and cultivates insight and imagination towards the goals of personal insight, validation and emopowerment, collective liberation and healing.

Overview:

The daily structure of our gatherings will be consistenat at each meeting - we will have an opening invocation followed by an open share session. Open share will be an opportunity for folks to integrate and share what they are learning about their chart. Each afternoon we will have time for reflective inquiry, group discussion and sharing, prayer and ceremony. Each gathering will focus on one of the inner planets and core parts of the psyche: Sun, Moon, Rising sign/Ascendant, Mercury, Venus, and Mars. 

There will be 2 - 3 required readings for this group. Before our first gathering in March, I will be sending out a detailed list of preparatory work to do between our meetings which will include readings from required texts and reflective excercises. This series is designed to be experiential - while we will look to texts and "technical" astrological information as part of our preparation, our primary focus will be on our individual and collective experience embodying the archetypal energy of each planet and our specific elemental and sign placement. As such, your preparatory work will also include invitations for reflection on your personal experience. Like Lunatic, the positioning of our own experience as a form of leadership will serve as the laboratory for our learning about ourselves, others, the collective, and the relational field. 

The series includes two hours of one-on-one session time with Brittany to be used at any time between registration and our last gathering in November of 2027.

The Astro Lab is a laboratory, a place to both talk about and experience the planets and our unique placements. While each gathering does include some presentation of formal content, the shape of the day is held by ritual and ceremonial practices, alongside time for personal inquiry, reflection, and sharing. We will use each member’s astrological birth chart and planetary placements as the basis for personal exploration and inquiry—deepening our understandings of how our various planetary placements help us understand our inner and outer experience in the world, needs, wants, desires, longings, and our paths of service.

All are welcome: people of all genders, sexualities, relationship constellations, ages, ethnicities, races, abilities, and religious and spiritual beliefs.

Gathering Logistics

Astro Lab meets six days for a spring and fall session, in person at the Thyme Herbal studio and gardens in Conway, MA.

Each gathering will take place on a Saturday from 9:30 - 4:30 pm. In the event of unsafe weather-related travel conditions, the gathering will be held on the same date and time via Zoom.

*Although it is unlikely, it is possible that gathering dates will have to shift over the course of the program.  Group members will be notified as soon as possible of any necessary date changes.

*It is OK for group members to miss gatherings for anticipated or unanticipated reasons throughout the session.

Registration and Payment

The program costs $1,095. This includes six seven-hour gatherings over the course of nine months and a two-hour one-on-one astrology reading with me before the program begins. If you have had a two-hour reading with me before you can use your one-on-one hours at any point before our last gathering in November 2027, at once or divided into two one-hour sessions. Additional mentoring is available at a discounted rate throughout the program.

Payment Plan Option:

You can either pay for the program in full or via a payment plan. For the payment plan, a $285 deposit is required at the time of registration, followed by nine payments of $90/month. Monthly payments will run from March through November 2027. (If an alternative payment arrangement would work better for you, please reach out.)
